Hanover House in Cadogan Street Glasgow, the home of the Registers of Scotland. This eight storey building was prone to water ingress along the southern and western elevations during driving rain. The points of ingress were defective brick and aluminium window flashings. A cost effective solution was designed and proposed by Macbar involving the installation of powder coated alumium flashings extending over the areas of the 8th floor windows, tying back in to the wall edge cope flashing around the perimeter of the building. This was successfully completed on two elevations of the building, and as the client (Registers of Scotland) had specifically requested that scaffold not be used, all works were undertaken within approved road restrictions with a 125' power boom.
